    Chatuchak Market is easy to get to on the BTS. The nearest station is Mo Chit which is right next to the market. If using the MRT, you can take the subway to Chatuchak Park Station, from there, it’s a short walk to the market.

    It’s open at Weekends from early morning to approx 9pm although some stores close in the early evening. There is also an indoor mall JJ Mail and an indoor antique market across the road.

    Don’t miss the lovely Benjakitti Park Next Door

    Next door to Lumphini Park is Benjakitti Park which is linked by a walkway called the Green Mile. To get to your destination from Lumphini Park, exit at the north-eastern gate near Suan Lumpinee School and head through the main gates. Once you’re outside the park, turn left onto the main road and walk for about 100 meters. You’ll see an overpass ahead of you. Next, go through the gate next to the building with the blue roof on your left, ascend the distinctive green steps, and continue along the main walkway. The walkway is actually painted green so you can’t go wrong. You see some great things from the walkway which is almost worth the trip alone.

    Monitor Lizards

    Monitor Lizards are a common site in Bangkok. Although you won’t see them walking down the main streets in Bangkok you will see them in Lumphini Park and in the Klongs (Canals) around Bangkok. They are harmless creatures but can grow to 3m in length. There are several hundred in the park so you should have no trouble finding them. You can usually get within a few metres of them so a good photo is easy to get.
