The Princess Mother Memorial Park (Thai: Suan Somdet Ya) is a serene, 4-rai urban park and museum located in the Khlong San district of Bangkok. Established in 1993 at the initiative of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), the park is dedicated to his mother, Princess Srinagarindra, and is situated on the site of her childhood home.
Its a lovely small park and well worth a visit. It’s only a few meters away from the river and there are a few lovely places nearby.

How to Get There
- By Boat: This is often considered the most scenic route. Take the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Memorial Bridge Pier (N6), then walk across the Memorial Bridge. Alternatively, take a Tourist Boat which may stop closer at piers near the Kuen Oo (Guan Yu) Shrine.
- By BTS/MRT: Take the BTS to Saphan Taksin Station, then board a ferry to Tha Din Daeng Pier, followed by a short walk or tuk-tuk ride.
- By Taxi/Grab: Direct and convenient; the drive from central Khlong San takes approximately 4–15 minutes depending on traffic.
