Chatuchak Market covers over 35 acres and features more than 15,000 stalls and vendors. It’s divided into 27 sections, offering a wide variety of goods ranging from clothing, accessories, handicrafts, antiques, art, home decor, pets, plants, and much more.

200,000 people visit over the weekend so it’s always busy. The JJ Mall which is fully airconditioned for a little respite from the heat adjoins the market.

The market is open on Saturdays and Sundays from early morning until late afternoon. Some sections of the market are also open on Fridays for wholesale buyers. Due to its vast size, Chatuchak Market can be overwhelming for first-time visitors. It’s helpful to grab a map at the entrance or use a mobile app to navigate. The market is well-organized into sections based on the types of products sold, making it easier to find what you’re looking for. Bargaining is common at Chatuchak Market, especially for non-fixed price items. Vendors often expect customers to negotiate prices, so don’t hesitate to haggle for a better deal.

In addition to shopping, Chatuchak Market offers a wide array of food and drink options. You can find local Thai street food, as well as international cuisines from around the world. It’s a great place to sample authentic Thai dishes and snacks.
