Markets

For an authentic shopping experience, explore the numerous markets scattered throughout the city. Popular ones include Chatuchak Weekend Market, where you can find everything from clothing and accessories to art and home decor. Talad Rot Fai (Train Night Market) is another bustling spot, showcasing vintage items, handmade crafts, and an array of delicious street food to enjoy while you shop.

Bangkok is also famous for it’s floating markets where traders sell their goods from boats. There are usually always land based stalls as well.

Top Tip: Many people travel to the famous (and very touristy) Damnoen Saduak floating market which is 1.5hrs from Bangkok in Ratchaburi but the Taling Chan Floating Market which in our opinion is much nicer and more authentic only twenty minutes away! The only slight disadvantage is that it’s only open at weekends.

Bangkok even has a Plane Market! Whilst it doesn’t sell planes it is situated around an Old Lockheed L1011 widebody jet with a unique and quirky restaurant inside and a nice night market with an art space.
