River Crossing Ferries

River Crossing Ferries

Not to be confused the River Boats that go up and down the river these little ferries just take you across the river and back again.

They are useful if there isn’t a bridge nearby and sometimes (like at Wat Arun) you may need to use them to get across the river. The fee (as at 2026) is usually 5 baht.

These just cross the river but they only go from one side of the river to the other usually for around 5 baht. You pay on one side of the river. They are unlikely to take large notes.

Hotels also have shuttle boats from the Samphan Taksin Pier to take you straight to the hotel. Peninsula, Marriot, Hilton and some Condo buildings also have them for their guests.
